PrimaLoft - what is it and how does it work?

Synthetic insulations work just like natural down: thanks to their structure containing a large number of micro-holes, they "trap" and retain air inside, which effectively insulates us from adverse external conditions. Their greatest advantage is related to the characteristics of the fibres that, with a very small cross-section, can generate a high surface tension. As a result, water is "repelled" and does not seep into the insulation itself, as is the case with natural down, for example.

PRIMALOFT fillings consist of appropriately shaped polyester microfibers. These fibres are highly compressible, making garments made with this type of insulation significantly lighter while maintaining high thermal comfort. These fibres are also very resistant to heavy use and repeated washing.
