Initially known as Vans #36, the Old Skool model was introduced in 1977, featuring a unique novelty: a doodle pattern drawn by the founder Paul Van Doren, originally called the "jazz stripe." Today, the famous Sidestripe has become the brand's unmistakable and instantly recognisable emblem Vans. With a durable upper made of suede and canvas available in a variety of new colours, the Old Skool are low-top lace-up shoes that pay tribute to our heritage while remaining as iconic as ever.
