Holubar is a brand founded in Colorado in 1947. Holubar has built its reputation over the years with the general public, establishing itself as one of the most important North American brands in the clothing industry Outdoor.
Behind the Holubar brand is duo,Alice and Roy Holubar. They met in the 1930s at Colorado University, where they were unable to find jackets and parkas to suit their shared passion for tree-trekking. After the war, they unearthed stocks of nylon and began making comforters in 1946, followed by jackets in nylon and a range of hiking bags .
Holubar was the first brand in the world to combine nylon (recovered from parachute canvases) with down in sleeping bags .
In the 1980s, Holubar met with great success, thanks to its colorful down jackets. TheAmerican brand didn't go unnoticed on the ski slopes. At the time, these down jackets were a must-have accessory to complete your look 80's winter wardrobe.
